Anniversary Concert ‘Sing us a Song’ – an English Heritage

Sunday April 20th, 2025
For the 25th anniversary of the Roden Girl Choristers, they will take the audience through a beautiful tour of the English choral tradition.
The concert starts, together with the renowned Margaretha Consort, with music of 16th and 17th century composers such as Byrd, Tallis and Purcell. Then we will proceed, accompanied by Sietze de Vries on the majestic Schnitger organ, with composers from the following eras such as Harris, Howells and Leighton.
One of the highlights of the programme will be an improvisation of The Night by William Blake by the choristers, the Margaretha Consort and the organ. The whole programme will be directed by Sonja de Vries.
