Memorial concert (Requiem of Fauré) together with Capella Frisiae, Koepelkerk

Series of memorial concerts together with choir Capella Frisiae and an orchestra (specially formed for this project) on different locations in the Northern Netherlands.
Loss, hope and consolation is the title of this series in which we wish to commemorate the many victims of war and among refugees in 2023.
Main focus of the concert will be Fauré’s Requiem, much loved and heartening. This oratorium will be performed by the two choirs and orchestra, completely as Fauré imagined it when he adapted his Requiem in 1893 for a boys choir with its clear young soprano voices, two soloists and small orchestra. Our own chorister and soprano Wende Hoogendijk will appear as soloist.
Additionally, the Capella Frisiae and orchestra will perform a newly composed work of composer/director Hoite Pruiksma. The choristers will enlighten the concert further with songs of hope and peace.
This concert is part of the Koepelkerk Concerts Sappemeer.
More information can be found here. Tickets for this concert in Sappemeer can be bought here (27,50 per ticket; 12,50 for minors/students/CJP) on the website of Koepelkerk concerts (in Dutch).
